Here are some answers to common questions you may have. If you have additional questions about ODEC, contact odec@opendoorchili.org.

How do I register and pay (if applicable) for a course?

Open Door members, and non-members alike, are welcome to participate in the Open Door Equipping Center, as space in class permits. To register for an Equipping Center course, simply register online or complete an ODEC Registration Card (which can be found at Welcome Centers and Information Kiosks in the church lobby) and return it to the church office.

Some courses have a fee to cover the cost of materials. Payment can be made to the church office. Make checks payable to “Open Door Baptist Church”.

When do I register for a course?

Registration opens in late summer for the upcoming Fall, Winter and Spring trimesters. Please register no later than one week prior to the beginning of a course.

Can I take courses for college credit?

No. Foundation and Ministry Training courses are recommended for teaching at Open Door.

Is there a course fee?

Most courses are free, however, some require a fee which covers the cost of materials.

Can I donate to help cover the cost of course materials for those who may need financial assistance?

Absolutely! Please designate any donations to Open Door Equipping Center.

How frequently will courses be offered?

Courses are offered in the fall, winter and spring. Some classes are offered one time, and others will repeated.

The Course Catalog will be updated on a yearly basis. Please check the catalog for current course listings.

Who can take these courses?

The courses are designed for the believer to grow wherever they are in their spiritual journey. You do not need to be a member of ODBC in order to take a course.

What is offered during the summer?

Open Door Equipping Center courses will not be offered during the months of July and August. Re:fuel and summer programming for teens and children are offered year round.
